Chaga, called Bai Hua Rong in China, isn’t your typical mushroom. Out in the wild, it grows on birch trees and looks more like a lump of charcoal than food, but inside it has a golden-brown core that has been valued for centuries. In places like Russia, Scandinavia, and parts of Asia, it was traditionally brewed into a dark, earthy tea, often spoken about as a way to connect with strength and resilience during long winters. Our Chaga Mushroom Powder brings that same mushroom into an easy-to-use form, so you don’t have to spend hours boiling chunks of fungus on the stove.

We grow our Chaga in California on organic oats. This method helps the mycelium develop naturally and enriches it with plant-based beta-glucans. Once it’s ready, the chaga is dried and ground down into a fine powder. Nothing is added, and nothing is taken away. The powder slips neatly into modern life – stir it into hot water, mix it into coffee or cacao, blend it with smoothies, or even add it to soups and sauces if you want a savoury edge. Some people use it for the taste, some for the tradition, and many for both.

Why Chaga Powder Appeals to People

Antioxidants from natureChaga mushroom supplements are often spoken of as one of the more antioxidant-rich mushrooms, and that’s part of why it’s gained such a reputation.
A long cultural story – Generations have brewed Chaga teas in northern regions, seeing it as a daily ritual for warmth and balance.
Natural compounds – Like other functional mushrooms, Chaga carries polysaccharides, beta-glucans, and other plant elements that are still present in the finished powder.
Practical and quick – The powder saves you hours in the kitchen. Just add a spoonful and it’s ready to drink or cook with.
Distinct taste – Slightly bitter, earthy, and tea-like, it pairs surprisingly well with coffee or chocolate.

How to Use Chaga Powder

Take 1–2 teaspoons of this functional mushroom powder and mix it into hot water, or blend it with smoothies, soups, or coffee. You can even add it to cacao for a richer drink. The flavour is strong, so if you’re new to Chaga, start with less and work up.

Please note: Stick to the daily guidance. Store it sealed, somewhere cool and dry, and away from sunlight. Keep it out of reach of children. If you’re allergic to mushrooms, pregnant, breastfeeding, or unsure about dietary changes, it’s best to check before adding Chaga to your routine.
